Deformed mesh to perforated component system

The deformed tube structure could be given a structural logic, in the way that a tube, or more specifically, a crumpled or folded page is more structural than a flat page. As a result of this kind of thinking, I decided to explore ways to articulate the geometry as a thin but perforated surface.

Due to the fact that sectionally there are always two surfaces demarcating the boundary between inside and outside, the light permitted is diffused, creating interesting effects on the interior.

Grasshopper and plug-ins are used to further subdivide, articulate and perforate the surface.
